Flutist Yubeen Kim
Yubeen has been appointed as the Principal Flute at the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, as first ever Korean Flutist in an American Top Orchestra.
He is starting the job from January 2024 in San Francisco Symphony Orchestra.

being acknowledged by the world-wide musical world in honor of winning the First Prize at the ARD International Music Competition, also the First Prize at the Prague Spring International Music Competition and the Second Prize (First Prize not attributed) at the Concours de Genève including awarding special prizes such as Audience Prize, Young Audience Prize and Special Prize. After his winning of these competitions, he got a lot of opportunities to present many concerts all around the world.

As his soloist activities, he was invited to many concerts and festivals such as Nimus Festival, Bemus Festival, Festival du Jura, Laureates Festival Concours de Genève, Prague Spring Festival, EuroArt Prague, Festival des Haudères, Concerts d’été à Saint-Germain, Tongyeong International Music Festival, Arko Contemporary Orchestra Music Festival. He has appeared as a soloist with many prestige orchestras such as Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Bochumer Symphoniker in Germany and also performed regularly in Korea with Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, KBS Symphony Orchestra, Korean Symphony Orchestra, Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra, Daejeon Philharmonic Orchestra, Chungnam Philharmonic Orchestra, Cheongju Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra of the CNSM de Lyon and Ensemble of Tokyo.
   
 He studied at the CNSM de Lyon (Conservatoire National Supérieur Musique et Danse de Lyon) and at the CNSM de Paris (Conservatoire National Supérieur Musique de Paris). Moreover, he is also currently studying (Konzertexamen) at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin.

He has been the Principal Flute of the Konzerthausorchester Berlin since 2016, and collaborated with the renown conductors such as Christoph Eschenbach, Iván Fischer, Louis Langrée, David Zinman, Eliahu Inbal, Juraj Valčuha, Dmitrij Kitajenko, Philippe Herreweghe, Reinhard Goebel, Andrea Marcon and Myung-whun Chung.

He has regularly played with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra as guest Principal Flute. He has performed live concert at Philharmonie Berlin and recorded ‘the Berlin Concert' Album with John Williams by Deutsche Grammophon.
